This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit saltclosets.com (the "Website") or contact us for a design consultation, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Website or submitting a form, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you fill in a consultation or enquiry form, call us, or message us on WhatsApp, Instagram or email, we may collect your name, phone number, email address, home type (for example 2 BHK / 3 BHK / villa), the service you are interested in, when you plan to start your project, and anything else you choose to share with us about your requirements.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may record basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited and the date and time of your visit. If you arrive from an advertisement or campaign link, we may also record the campaign source (for example "utm_source") so we know which channel brought you to us.

2. How we use your information

• To respond to your enquiry and schedule your free design consultation.
• To call, WhatsApp or email you about your project, quotation and site visit.
• To prepare designs, estimates and proposals tailored to your home.
• To improve our Website, services and marketing, including understanding which campaigns our enquiries come from.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone.

3. How your information is stored

Form submissions from the Website are stored securely in a Google Sheets workbook belonging to SALT and an email notification is sent to our team so we can respond quickly. Access is limited to SALT staff who need the information to handle your enquiry. We retain enquiry details for as long as needed to serve you and for a reasonable period afterwards for business records, after which they may be deleted on request.

4. Sharing of information

We share your information only with the people and services needed to deliver what you have asked for: our design and installation team, our website hosting provider (Hostinger), Google (Google Sheets and Gmail, used to receive your form submissions), and messaging platforms such as WhatsApp when you choose to contact us through them. Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy policy. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, property or safety.

5. Cookies and third-party links

The Website uses only the minimal technical cookies and fonts (Google Fonts) needed for it to display correctly. We do not run advertising cookies on this Website. The Website contains links to third-party sites such as Instagram and WhatsApp; we are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites.

6. Your choices and rights

We will act on reasonable requests within a reasonable time, subject to any legal obligation to retain records.

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. The Website is served over HTTPS. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when it was last revised. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted means you accept the updated policy.
